About

Sculptural jewelry by Lara Saget, made by hand in Brooklyn in small editions. Lara Saget is a sculptor who has worked in glass, stone, metal and organic matter for more than a decade. The Collection brings that practice to the scale of the body, with every piece holding the same complexity as her larger work. In each piece, hand-sculpted glass, gemstones and precious metals, seemingly disparate materials, merge and take on new forms.

Heat fuses glass and metal into a single form. Pressure sets gemstones into glass and glass into gold. Light moves through each piece, changing with the wearer and the hour. Time lets each material settle into what it wants to become. Every piece is made one at a time, and no two are identical. Through these transformations, Saget explores the idea at the center of her practice: that distinctions between materials exist only at the surface; beneath them, everything is one.

Lara Saget in Studio

Approach

Every piece is made by hand in Lara's Brooklyn studio. The glass is kiln-fired, then set with gemstones and finished in precious metals. Because the glass is shaped by heat rather than a mold, each piece carries small variations: a softened edge, a shift in thickness, the way light passes through it. These are marks of the making, and part of what makes each piece one of a kind.

Each piece is carefully crafted in Saget’s Brooklyn studio.

Material story

Saget’s practice begins with an attention to matter and its inherent language. Glass, stone, metal, and organic matter are cast, heated, impressed, and reformed, allowing the unique qualities of each to emerge through the process. Rather than imposing form, she works in dialogue with her materials, observing how they respond to heat, light, and time.

For more than 100,000 years, people have worn objects and given them power: to protect, to remember, to signify, to connect. Lara Saget Collection draws from this ancient relationship with adornment, recognizing that the final act of power belongs to the wearer.
